。102 北京科技大学学报 2007年增刊2 Stability of emulsions for strip cold rolling and the effects on lubricating perfor- mances in cold rolling process SUN Jianlin,ZHANGJun,CAI Wentong,ZHANG Chaolei,CHEN Jingqing School of Mateials Science and Engineering.University of Science and Technology Bijng.Beijng 100083 China ABSTRACT The factors influencing the stability of anion emulsions such as the ratios and contents of anion emulsification have been investigated.The factors affecting the stability of the no-ionic emulsions,such as the value of HLB (Hydrophile Lipophile Balance)and the contents of emulsification,have also been covered.It is found that the emulsification ratios and the value of HLB dramatically affect the stability of emulsified oil and emulsion.By researching the effects of different stabilities and different concentrations of emulsion on the ab- sorption and friction coefficient,it is established that good lubricating perfommances can be obtained when the stability of emulsion is in the certain level.It has also been found in the experiment of cold rolling process that the proper stability and appropriate concentrations should be introduced based on the demands of the cold rolling process,so that the process works nomally.
