Because of its one-step rapid solidification formation feature,spray forming becomes a powerful tool for research and development of new materials.Great attentions have been paid on the development and application of this new technology around the world.The spray forining process has been demonstrated as a promising low cost processing tech- nique for high performance materials.In this paper,recent progress of spray forming process and its applications in material science and engineering have been reviewed.
