Current Situation and Development of Biological Bleaching in Paper Industry MA Shu-jie,JIN Xiao-juan (Beijing Forestry University,Beijing,100083 China) Abstract:With the development of biological sciences,biotechnology has been more widely used in the pulping and papermaking industry,bio-bleaching technique is a green-type bleaching method can improve the bleach ability of pulp and reduce the amount of chemicals to decrease the chemical pollution to the environment.This paper discussed the aim of biological bleaching, the bleaching mechanism and current research situation of microorganisms and enzymes including xylanase,mannanase,lignin peroxidase,manganese peroxidase and laccase.
