It is a complicated issue for the mechanism of air pollution transport and diffusion over the complex terrains. According to the topography around the cities, the complex terrains are classified into five categories, which include the valley terrain, the costal terrain surrounded by hills on the other three sides, the basin terrain, the"U shape terrain and the gorge terrain.
