In this paper, green part of injection mould with conformal cooling channels is manufactured by selective laser sintering (SLS)of commonly used iron powder mixed with polymer owder, and then enduse mould is attained after the green part is debound, sintered at high temperature and filtrated with modified epoxy resin. The strength and accuracy of the mould were investigated. The rapidness of Rapid Prototyping Manufacturing(RP&M)and the advantage of SLS are combined in this production method which shortens the production cycle to a week or so and can also setup cooling channels along the contours of the plastic part.
