In 2001,she received a Ph.D.degree in computer science engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University.Her major research areas include distributed computing,cloud computing,and service manage- ment.She served on the program community of IEEE international conferences including ICWS,SCC.EDOC.etc. John A Pershing Jr is a computer system architect and developer with over 30 years of experience in systems programming,middleware,dis- tributed/clustered systems,networking.and high availability.He received a BS and an MS degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.He is a member of the ACM and the IEEE Computer Society. Lei Xie is a Ph.D.student in the Department of Computer Science and Technology.Nanjing University,China.His main research interests include sensor network,vehicular network,distributed and parallel computing.RFID.He has published research works on international conferences including ICNP.GLOBECOM,NOMS,UIC.WASA and journals including Joumal of Software. Ying Chen is associate director and research staff member at IBM Research-China.He received B.S.and Ph.D.both in computer science from Southeast University in 1994 and 1999.He is responsible for cloud computing strategy and new initiatives in IBM Research-China.He has been in IBM research strategy team of software and service for years to define and execute strategy.He is the guest professor of Xian JiaoTong University and Northeast University.His main research interests include autonomic computing,cloud computing,system management in large scale data center and service science.He has published over 50 papers in referred international journals and conference proceedings.He has more than 30 patents filed or being filed in US and other countries.He has served on the program committee of MDM,SCC,ICWS,DASFAA.
