The first section is mainly focused on the plant growth and development, from seed germination, seedling formation, to morphological and anatomical characteristics of vegetative and reproductive organs. The students will get the basic knowledge of the morphology, anatomy, and function of different plant organs. The second section is mainly focused on the basic category and taxonomy of plant kingdom, including: the basic knowledge of plant taxonomy, basic category of plant kingdom, morphological and recognition characteristics of main plant families. The students will get the basic techniques to recognize common plants based on their morphological characteristics. It is a basic course for Plant Science and Landscape Architecture to learn the further courses related to plant cultivation, breeding, and plant resource. 课程教学大纲（course syllabus）
