METHODS: In retrospective study, 600 prescriptions or medical orders of glucocorticoids for oral administration and injec- tion were collected every month by using HIS during Jan.-Dec 2013 According to Guiding Principles for Clinical Application of Glucocorticoids Drugs(Health Office of medical affairs [2011] No. 23), the prescription evaluation tables were filled, commented and analyzed in accordance with the Guide of Special Prescriptions Comments in Beijing Medical Institutions(trail). The rationalit of drug use was evaluated from following aspects: inappropriate indications, irrational drugs selection, unsuitable dosage form and unsuitable route of administration. RESULTS: Through the selective examinations and comments about prescriptions of glucocorti colds, we intervened and improved unreasonable prescriptions; the unreasonable rates in four seasons of 2013 were 20.67% 13. 33%0,8.67% and 4.67%, respectively, which obviously presented decreasing trends. The rational use of glucocorticoids in our ospital was improved by monthly selective examinations and comments and continuous intervention.
