As the longer pair of stamens will obviously gain advantages during pollination because of their position is more closer to the edge of the flower, authors think the differences between the two pair of the stamens might not only showed in the length of filaments, but also have connections with the sizes, numbers of pollen grains and the timings of pollen cracking. In this research, the team focuses on the differences between the numbers of pollen grains in the different sizes of stamens in each species. Researchers choose 8 species in total from 4 families and collect some samples to count the number of pollen grains in each pair of stamens.
