Zhang Dain Based on facts, Mr. Zhang proposed that yi Zhuan should be attributed to the works in the middle and late Warring States period of which xi i smould be written later than lao zi. however earlier than hui Zi and zhuang zi Tuan Zhuan should be earlier than Xun Zi, Xiang Zhuan later than Tuan Zhuan, and so on. Mr. Zhang expounded his views on the concepts, categories, propositions and philosophical system with philosophical analytical method which is the characteristic and contribution of Mr. Zhang. In the last part, we point out that mr. Zhang s views on Yrology still have an important reference value for us to study yi Zhuan of current version and silk manuscript although some of his views aren t universally shared in academic circles. Mr. Zhang s philosophical method of interpreting Yi Zhuan exerts a significant influence on his own philosophical system and promoting the yi study over the last century.
