(2)The values of axo in the sl:g is ranged in 10-2-10 at 1600C.The Yxb2ois in the range of 100-10-2. (3)Niobium partition decreases with the increase of [%Si)and CaO/SiO2. When atol andFeO decrease,ninbium partition decreases too.By the above- mentioned relalions,the suitable thermodynamic conditions have been pointed out in direct alloying of steel with niobium-bearing slag. (4)Manganese partition decreases with the increase of %Si]andCaO/SiO2. When FeO decreases,MnO/CMn]decreases remarkably too.According to the results of the experiment,the follow ing formula is obtained. MnO/[Mn]=-5.69+16.1EFcO (in Al2O3 crucibles) (5)Basic refractory is favourable to the reduction of Nb2Os in the slag. (6)The asand yso decrease with the increase of slag basicity.When slag basicity increases,the decrease of sois more than that of o So,this is favourable to the reduction of Nb2O.The yuno increases remarkably with the increase of slag basicity.The relation between ymno and slag basicity,obtained in the experiment,is as follows. logYMno=0.127+3.08 logB (in Al2O3 crucibles) On the basis of laboratory investigation,a certain amount of micro-alloy (low Nb)high strength steel has been produced in electric arc furnace.
