Keywords:Zhou Enlai,socialism,theoretical contribution Look at Zhou Enlai's Art of Negotiations from the thaw in Sino-American Relations …Zheng Hua(10) Abstract:Being the pioneer and founder of the diplomatic cause of the PRC Zhou Enlai took charge of foreign affairs for many years after the founding of New China.In the series negotiations leading to a thaw in the Sino-American relations from 1969 to 1972 Zhou Enlai was the chief nego- tiator on the Chinese side and played an extremely important role.He reported in good time the progress of the negotiations to Mao Zedong and worked out the tactics and specific points for talks according to Mao Zedong's instructions.With meticulous and considerate arrangements he created a natural and friendly atmosphere for the negotiations.His superb professional attainments,high moral standard and unique personal charisma not only guaranteed the smooth progress of the negotia- tions but also left a deep impression on Henry Kissinger and Richard Nixon,winning a high praise from them.
