A new way of preparing nanometric powder of AlN is found. KEY WORDS aluminum nitride:aerosol reactor,nanometric;diethylaluminun azide (上接第525页) Relationship between Luminescence and Crystal Structure of Eu"doped Fluorite CAO Lin.LI Dianchao2.WU Changfeng 2 YU Lixin 1)Department of Materials Physics,UST Beijing,Beijing 10008,China 2)Jilin University,Chaoyang Campus,Changchun 130026,China ABSTRACT According to the relationship between luminescent properties and local symmetry of Eu",to- gether with the site symmetry of symmetrically equivalent points in space group,it can be inferred that there are mainly two kinds of emission centers,which have the C.or C site symmetry respectively,in fluorite:Eu" system.The Euion requires charge compensation,because it enters the cubic site in a heterovalent substitu- tion for the Ca ion.The charge-compensating defects,such as the predominant interstitial F,,influence the local environment of the Eu"ions and,in particular,modify the site symmetry.The existence of F,rou nd the Eu"ion reduces the O,symmetry to C.or C,which breaks the parity selection rules and promotes the lum- inescence of fluorite:Eu"samples.
