Many scholars and practitioners are actively engaged in the discovery and establishment of new applications of probability and statistics in fields such as the design of computer systems, finance, medicine, meteorology, photography from satellites, earthquake prediction, human behavior, genetics and law, etc. The course is a foundation subject for undergraduates.
