Time Allocation and Teaching Procedure: About 4 sessions (8 class hours) are needed for this unit. 1 st session 1. Duty report Ask 3 students to do duty reports 2. Language structures Learn the words, phrases and sentence patterns that are often used in subjunctive mood, e.g. if only, would rather, for fear that, lest, in case. Learn to use “hardly.when”. Dialogue I Pre-reading questions: Have you ever lost anything? How did it happen? While-reading : How did Tony lose his wallet? (Pay attention to the verbs used) What made them change their view about people’s honesty? Act out the text.
