8.1公众参与调查概况 作为某市第一座城市污水处理厂,某市西湖污水处理厂一期工程的建设具有其特 殊性和社会影响性。该项目的建成对提高某市城市环境质量,改善城市投资环境,促 进城市经济可持续发展都有着重要的意义。因此,得到了某市社会各界人士的普遍支 持。但是,污水处理厂的建设不可避免地会对厂址周围环境和居民区造成一定程度的 负面影响。为了调查、征询项目所在地各行业、各阶层对项目建设的意见,环评单位 于2001年9月,在建设单位的协助下,以走访、问卷调查的形式,对项目所在的地区 进行了公众参与调查
