Influence of student procrastination(Wu Xinyu) Academic Procrastination in universities is linked with various kinds of reasons as mentioned above.Meanwhile,it has a large influence on students'study performances, health and social relationship as well.Previous studies, however, made mingled and contradictory investigations on the impact of AP(Beck,Koon Milgrim 2000):A number of researchers pointed out that a close relationship lies between students'health(mental and physical)and delaying assignments (Ferrari Beck,1998;Tice Baumeister,1997)while some others claimed only a weak correlation connecting mental upset and procrastination(Milgram,Marshevsky Sadeh ,1995).Similarly,several groups of investigators borne out that academic procrastination directly dragged students'GPA down(Rothblum,Solomon,Murakami,1986;Tice Baumeister,1997;Wesley,1994; Klassen,Krawchuk,Lynch Rajani,2008).Contrarily,some other studies evinced sparse academic implications on grades(Beswick,1988;Lay,1986;Solomon Rothblum,1988). Therefore, there has not been a well-accepted conclusion of the influence of academic procrastination, and thus our group decides to add a multiple choice in our questionnaire, doing the research to make out perspectives of consequences of academic procrastination in Chinese universities and dig out which conditions students in Chinese colleges are in line with.
