Sand Casting Most widely used casting process Most sand casting operations use silica sand (Silicon Dioxide)mixed with some clay and water.It is inexpensive and suitable as a mold material. ■ Can work with nearly any metals;esp.the ones with high melting temp.(steel,nickel,titanium).
