Pre-requirements Students should have 1) read the two passages in “Part I Read and Think”; 2) watched the two videos in “Part II Listen and See”. 3. Highlighted Form of Communication Group interaction 4. Teaching and Drilling Methods Lecture, group work 5. Communication Knowledge To be a good member in group discussion – Dos Don’ts  Come prepared. Know the subject and ask for clarifications. Try to dominate the discussion for too long

Now sit down, have a panel discussion to work out a detailed plan. a. Have students form groups of four or five as class councilors b. Decide on where to go, what to prepare, who is in charge of what, and what to look out for. etc c One representative from each group reports on the plan they have made d. 向丁丁大学英语教学部 5)Talk about it- What Do You Say?(Better understand something via group discussion) Purpose: to polish group discussion skills to learn to express personal opinions and exchange ideas in a group Topic: The Chinese idiom“玩物丧志” means if you ride your hobby it will sap your will to make progress in your life. However, we have also seen people who are occupied with their hobbies and finally manage to turn the hobby into a thriving career. Discuss to exchange ideas on and better understand this contradiction a. ask students to form groups of three or four, and have a discussion based on the b. a moderator in each group coordinates the discussion c.
