Preface for Third EditionRecent years, according to the national deepen reform, strengthen international cooperation, broaden theforeign students education and policy implementation. This textbook of anatomy in English was compiled bythe requirement of teaching Foreign students.The program of the book is facing china modernization, world andfuture, as well as adapting to the international medical education.The Ministry of Education requests the col-leges and universities to strengthen foreign student teaching and enhance reformation of medical education. Thetextbook construction is required to adaptto new situation, the strategyof national rejuvenation through scienceand education and the requirement on cultivation of highlevel international creative talents. We compiled thefirst teaching material of English-Chinese bilingual systematic anatomy which was published by Science Pressin 2005.And The second edition was published by Science Press in 2008.This textbook not only has content of basic theory,knowledge and skill but also has characteristic ofideolo-gy,scientificity,advancement,adaptability andenlightenment.In preceding eight years of teaching.practice, the second edition was applied by numerous medical collegesand obtained good evaluation. Some readers in colleges of Taiwan and Hong Kong wrote letters to given highvaluation. Readers thought that the characters of this teaching material were concise and frequent, abundantcontents with excellent combination of pictures and written words,some styles had conspicuous innovativeness,scientificity and practicability.It is really an excellent textbook suitable for students of main course,postgrad-uates and foreign students.
