Ways of Categorizing Hotels Classifying hotels into categories is not easy. Because the industry is so diverse, many hotels do not fit into any single well-defined category. Nonetheless, there are several general classifications -- Hotel English,薄湘平p13-17

According to hotel size Small---up to 100 rooms(eg: Gritti Place in Venice. 99 rooms Medium---100 to 200 rooms Medium-large---200 to 500 rooms Large---over 500 rooms (eg: Hyatt Regency in Chicago, over 2000 rooms; the Hotel Rossya in Moscow, 5300 rooms)
