This data format is the result of a compression and encoding process. If the compression techniques are used in MPEG-2, then they are to a large extent based on the some knowledge. The knowledge is that we have about how the human eye and the visual centers in the brain recognize images So far, the human eye has been described. And its capabilities to recognize images have been described, too. But how are the images described and structured in digital equipment?
