(1) Sentence structure: The selection consists of two sentences of which the first is a complex sentence, composed of a main clause and a subordinate clause serving as the object of the preposition off and the second is also a complex sentence, composed of a main clause and an attributive clause with a parenthetic clause embedded in the predicate and another attributive clause embedded in the appositive nominal phrase at the end of the sentence
