STT + CO2 自动焊接技术 范 晓 明 (中国石化股份公司管道储运分公司 鲁宁输油处 , 山东 邹城 273500) 摘 要 : 针对 CO2 气体保护自动焊存在的“飞溅 ”这一严重缺陷 ,着重从 STT控制原理和应用 两方面阐述了 STT +CO2 自动焊技术。工程实践证实 ,应用 STT控制的 CO2 气体保护焊能够 极大地减少焊接时的飞溅 ,焊缝成型美观。并对甬 —沪 —宁进口原油管道工程中采用此焊接 技术仍出现少量飞溅现象和爆裂声进行分析 ,指出美国 LN - 23P送丝机送丝速度的合理控制 是改进这种现象的关键所在。新型改进的送丝机构已在仪征 —长岭原油管道建设工程中得到 应用 ,效果很好。 关键词 : STT控制原理 ; CO2 气体保护自动焊 ; 焊接电流 ; 焊接速度 ; 送丝速度 中图分类号 : TG409 文献标识码 : B 文章编号 : 1001 - 3938 (2005) 05 - 0043 - 02 1 STT + CO2 自动焊及控制原理 焊接作为材料连接及成型工艺 ,已成为现代 制造技术中不可缺少的部分。电弧焊仍是众多焊 接工艺中应用最广泛的 ,而气体保护自动焊是电 弧焊较为先进的工艺技术 ,它在长输管道的建设 中已逐步取代手工焊。但是气体保护自动焊尤其 是 CO2 气体保护自动焊有一严重的缺陷 —飞溅。 为减小飞溅的产生 ,人们采取了各种技术手段 ,但 收效甚微 ,使用 TIG焊或 M IG焊高昂的成本阻碍 了这种方法的广泛应用。 为解决这一问题 ,美国林肯公司研制开发了 一类专用于 CO2气体保护焊的电源 ,使用这一电 源能极大减少焊接时的飞溅 ,改善焊缝成型 ,这一 优点已经在工程实践中得到证实 ,使飞溅减少了 80% ~85%。 CO2气体保护焊电源能减少飞溅的根本原因 是采用了 STT (Surface Tension Transfer)控制技 术。大家知道 CO2气体保护焊最大的缺陷是飞 溅 ,飞溅形成的原因是由于 CO2气体保护焊在焊 接时其熔滴过渡的方式是短路过渡 ,即当焊丝与 熔池金属之间形成液态金属“小桥 ”时 ,较大的短 路电流流过逐渐变细的“小桥 ”,产生较大的电阻 热 ,电爆破理论认为短路过程中形成的液态“小 桥 ”被急剧加热 ,过量的能量积累导致液态“小 桥 ”气化爆断 ,引起飞溅。爆炸的能量为液态小 桥中所积聚的总的气化热能 PT , PT =πRB 2 Lq。 式中 RB —爆炸时液态小桥的半径 ; L—液态小桥的长度; q—金属的气化热。 根据电爆破理论 ,电爆破能量主要由在液态 “小桥 ”爆破前 100~150μs内的短路电流所决定 的。所以控制飞溅也就是主要将液态小桥爆破前 150μs内的短路电流迅速减下来。又由于 CO2气 体保护焊的过渡频率在每秒几十次 ,这种积累的 飞溅量很大 ,焊缝成型也受到破坏。STT控制的 焊接方法就是从根本上解决了液态“小桥 ”气化 爆断的问题 ,其核心就是在形成短路“小桥 ”后焊 接电流瞬间减小 ,在表面张力、重力和电磁力作用 下 ,拉断金属“小桥 ”,使熔滴由短路过渡转变为 自由过渡。这种方法其实质就是利用电弧本身作 为传感器来检测电弧电压 ,根据电压来判断熔滴 过渡的瞬时形态 ,从而根据检测到的电弧电压的 变化 ,按照 STT的要求控制瞬时电弧电流的变 化 ,利用表面张力的作用达到熔滴平稳过渡的目 的。STT控制过程示意图见图 1。 2 STT +CO2 自动焊技术在工程中的应用 甬 —沪 —宁进口原油管道工程是由中石化管 焊管 ·第 28卷第 5期 ·2005年 9月 ·43· © 1994-2009 China Academic Journal Electronic Publishing House.
