Learning Objectives for the Course By the end of the semester you should be able to: 1.Understand poetry concepts and analyze poems 2.Master basic skills in reading poems out loud 3.Memorize some poems 4.Know the lives of some poets and analyze some of their poems 5.Read poems more responsively and get more pleasure from reading Grading Criteria Your performance will be assessed through a variety of classroom activities, quizzes,and homework assignments.The purpose of multiple assessments is to provide you with several opportunities to practice and demonstrate your skills and knowledge and to receive feedback to help you monitor and improve your performance.Your final grade will be based on the completion of the following parts: 4 Quizzes:writing down the poems from memory 20% 4次课堂默写,每学完一些诗歌以后做一次默写,初步定于第3,5,8,11周
