第一部分：名家名课 课程教学大纲 interpretations of some major issues, particularly those issues appeared since the reform and opening-up, are based on the Professor’s own research and will be the highlights of this course. About the New Democratic Revolution, this course will take the historical tasks faced by the Chinese people as perspective to observe the birth of Chinese Communist Party, and discuss the characteristics of the first Kuomintang-Communist Cooperation, and analyze the reasons for the failure of the Great Revolution. Furthermore, the important development in practice and ideology of the Chinese Communist Party during the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the role of KMT and CCP during the Anti-Japanese War, the development and growth of CCP during the war, and why CCP can finally defeat KMT during the New Democratic Revolution and the Chinese Civil War, will be introduced in this course. As the period of the Socialist Revolution and Construction, this course will mainly talk about the establishment and consolidation of New China, the CCP’s exploration for the Chinese socialist road and reasons for the frustrations, experiences of the Cultural Revolution, etc. However, the new period of Socialist Modernization will be the focus of this course, and the historical process and main experiences of the reform and opening-up leaded by CCP will be systematically introduced.
