二、意义一致原则 意义一致原则：即从意义上着眼处理一致关系。 主语形式为单数，但意义为复数，谓语动词也采取 复数形式。 The crowd were fighting for their lives. Three years in a strange land seems like a long time

四、几种特殊情况 ①当名词词组中心词为表示度量、时间等复数 名词时，往往根据意义一致的原则，把这些复 数名词看作一个整体，谓语动词采取单数形式。 e.g.Ten dollars is not enough. ②如果主语由“many a,more than one+单数名 词”构成，尽管从意义看是复数，仍用单数形 式。eg Many a student has passed the exam
