Acuity Pro Features Hardware Requirements Acuity Pro will run on any computer that has Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP operating system installed. That generally means a 486 or better with at least 8 megabytes of RAM and a color monitor and video card capable of 800 x 600 resolution.A high refresh rate is recommended to eliminate flicker. You must set the screen resolution to at least 800 x 600 for the entire screen to fit on your display and high color is needed for best quality viewing of the digital photo library. If you intend to use the advanced features of the Digital Photo Gallery and Video Player, you really need a faster pentium class computer with at least 32MB of RAM and a video card with at least 4 MB VRAM.The more, the better. Due to the advanced Video Player feature in Acuity Pro,most standard Windows (95&98) versions of the operating system do not come with the needed software to support this kind of streaming video. You will need to download and install the latest version of 'Microsoft Media Player'from their website (www.microsoft.com)if you intend to use the Video Player feature. Acuity Pro will run just fine without this Windows upgrade but you will not be able to access the Video Player. Hot Keys Every function and display option can be accessed by a single key stroke called a 'hotkey'. While there is a control panel available, most everyone will want to keep it Hidden while actually using Acuity Pro with patients. To hide the control panel, just hit the'H'key:hit the 'H' key again and it will re-appear.We have tried to make the keys as intuitive as possible so that they will be easy to learn. Most of our users have found that it only takes a few times using the program to become second nature with the keys.If you forget, just hit the'F1'key for Help. Standard Snellen Chart Of course the snellen chart is the default optotype with the standard order of letters (T Z V E C L)as default. When the Refresh'R'button is pressed, the letters or pictures )are replaced with a random set. 1
