You have to submit a written report and deliver a presentation in group. This will contribute 30% to your final score Part II: a small research paper(in Chinese) with 70% contribution to the final result Note: some translation works will be required during the course Content synopsis The module is designed for undergraduate students majoring in tourism management. It traces the historical development of the world tourism industry and examines the current issues, key trends and likely future developments in the industry. It covers four important parts: an overview of the world tourism, the world tourism development by region, the world tourism development by activities and current focuses in tourism Teaching methods s The module will be taught in English by using an edited English material as textbook Seminars are to be organized earning objectives s To get a general picture of the world tourism industry To identify the key trends in the world tourism Y To get an insight of the current issues in tourism industry which are both academically and professionally concemed t To improve English in speaking, reading, listening and writing Y To develop self-learning and independent research skills Learning methods Y Your are expected to attend the class without absent Y Express your ideas in English as much as possible t Prepare for the module before the class t Read the text book thoroughly Y Find and read some reference materials required by the teacher t Prepare answers for questions delivered in the previous class
