Classes will be in English, although film excerpts will have Chinese subtitles. Grades will be earned through attendance, presentations (each student will give one short presentation), and an exam. NOTE: This is a Film Studies course, not a Film Watching course, and is not in the format of “watch a whole movie one week, and talk about it the next week”. Over 150 film excerpts will be viewed. Notes will be provided for each lecture in PDF form.
