College English Band VI aims at cultivate students higher reading capacity, fairly good listening capacity and preliminary level in speaking and writing. Students are able to have the ability to obtain knowledge related to their specialty and further develop their English. The course mainly examines students’ integrative capacity for application of English and their mastery of grammar and vocabulary. After taking this course, the students are supposed to be able to express personal ideas in common topics smoothly and write exposition or argumentation within 30 minutes with no less than 150 words completely, fluently and clearly.
