Guided by Marxism, the course teaches in English theories of world politics and international relations. The objective of the course is to enable students to understand the basic theories of international relations and the principles of international politics, master the paths and methods of observing and analyzing common phenomena in international relations, improve their cognitive ability in international affairs, and have a basic judgment and grasp of the overall pattern and basic development trend in the field of contemporary international relations. The main contents of the course include introduction, realist international relations theory, liberal international relations theory, sociological constructivist theory, world pattern, globalization and Sino-US relations. This course focuses on the basic theories of the main schools of international relations. The difficulty of the course is to combine the theory of international relations with the reality of current international relations, make a practical and credible theoretical analysis of the new changes and problems of the contemporary international situation, and make a basic judgment on the future
